Beth yw glanhau hadau:
Mae’n ymwneud ag echdynnu’r hedyn o’i ‘gynhwysydd’ a gwaredu popeth arall er mwyn gadael yr hedyn yn unig ar ôl. ‘Gwahanu’r gwenith o’r us.
Pam glanhau hadau?
- Gallai fod plâu yn cuddio yn yr us a fydd yn difrodi’r hadau.
- Gallai fod detritws a fydd yn trosglwyddo pathogenau i’r hadau neu a fydd yn hybu tyfiant llwydni.
- Wrth hau hadau nad ydynt wedi’u glanhau, mae perygl ichi hau us yn ogystal gan achosi tyfiant sy’n dameidiog.
- Bydd stoc derfynol o hadau sydd o ansawdd da yn cynnwys canran uchel o hadau ‘pur’ a chyfran isel iawn o sylweddau anadweithiol. E.e. darnau o hadau anhyfyw, hadau heb hadgroen, pridd, cerrig mân, cyrff ffwngaidd a hadau chwyn.
Bydd angen i hadau sy’n cael eu marchnata fodloni’r safonau prawf ‘purdeb’ fel yr arolygwyd gan Yr Asiantaeth Iechyd Anifeiliaid a Phlanhigion (APHA). Mae hadau a ardystiwyd felly yn dangos eu bod yn bodloni safonau ansawdd y DU ar gyfer purdeb a chyfradd egino.
