Mae defnyddwyr yn dod yn fwy ymwybodol o’r problemau ac yn chwilio am gynnyrch sy’n lleihau niwed i’r amgylchedd, ac mae diwydiant yn ymateb.  Mae cwmnïau yn chwilio am ddeunydd pacio gwahanol i blastig, er mwyn rhoi hwb i’w cymwysterau amgylcheddol i ddefnyddwyr, ond mae llawer iawn i’w wneud eto mewn llawer o ddiwydiannau nes y canfyddir dewis amgen hyfyw ar gyfer yr hirdymor.

Ond beth am ewyn blodau? A oes dewis amgen hyfyw?

Mae yna fudiad sy’n ennill cefnogaeth, sy’n ceisio agor llygaid defnyddwyr i oblygiadau negyddol ewyn blodau.  Mae poblogrwydd y grŵp @nofloralfoam yn cynyddu ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol.  Mae’r grŵp yn defnyddio’r cyfryngau cymdeithasol i arddangos a rhannu technegau ar gyfer cyflawni canlyniadau creadigol heb ddefnyddio ewyn blodau.  Mae’n hyrwyddo delweddau o arddangosfeydd artistig o flodau heb ddefnyddio ewyn ac mae’n dangos beth y gellir ei gyflawni gydag ychydig o ymdrech ychwanegol a chreadigrwydd.

Mae’r mudiad yn cael ei hyrwyddo hefyd gan nifer o werthwyr blodau proffil uchel, Philippa Craddock yn fwyaf nodedig - trefnydd blodau priodas Frenhinol, a ddefnyddiodd fwcedi anweledig a ffiolau bychain yn llawn dŵr wedi’u hymgorffori yn y strwythur er mwyn cadw’r blodau yng Nghapel St George yn ffres yn ystod priodas Tywysog Harry a Meghan Markle.

Dewisodd y Dywysoges Eugenie, eiriolwr brwd dros yr amgylchedd, a’i gŵr Jack, Oasis Maxlife bioddiraddiadwy ym mhob un o’u harddangosfeydd blodau, oherwydd pryderon amgylcheddol.  Mae trefnydd blodau Brenhinol arall, Shane Connolly, a gynlluniodd y blodau ar gyfer dwy briodas frenhinol: Tywysog Cymru a Duges Cernyw yn 2011  a Dug a Duges Caergrawnt yn 2011, hefyd yn ceisio lleihau effaith amgylcheddol blodeuwriaeth ac yn hytrach, mae’n dewis dibynnu ar ddŵr yn unig, gyda weiren cwt ieir neu nyth o frigau er mwyn rhoi cefnogaeth ysgafn.

Gyda phriodasau Brenhinol proffil uchel yn rhoi’r gorau i ddefnyddio ewyn blodau, ac yn derbyn llawer o sylw yn y wasg ynglŷn â hyn, mae ymwybyddiaeth o’r broblem ewyn blodau yn uwch nac erioed o’r blaen ac mae’n arwain y tuedd di-ewyn.  Ond pa ddewisiadau amgen sydd ar gael?  Ar hyn o bryd nid oes unrhyw gynnyrch sy’n disodli’r defnydd cyfleus o ewyn blodau Oasis, ac o ystyried y cyfnod hir mae’n ei gymryd i Oasis Maxlife bydru, mae’r tuedd di-ewyn yn ennill tir, sy’n creu llawer iawn o greadigrwydd ac arloesedd yn y sector.
