Chris Creed

Senior Horticultural Consultant ADAS

After finishing school and working on a number of market gardens, Chris attended Pershore College of Horticulture and joined ADAS in 1974. After his studies he moved up to Yorkshire at Stockbridge House experimental horticultural station where he ran the soft fruit and rhubarb departments conducting trials, whilst also supporting the vegetable department, notably with onions, broccoli, and virus free narcissus bulbs.

In 1984 Chris moved to Cheshire, and soon after took on horticultural advice in north Wales. Specialising in soft fruit, he worked with the PYO and farm retail area of the sector as well as supermarket production across north west England and Wales. Chris has supported many projects including Farming Connect, Horticulture Wales, CALU and more recently Tyfu Cymru. He has also helped set up a new ADAS vegetable team to facilitate trials on large scale vegetable farms for AHDB SCEPTRE projects.
