Project Manager –Yr Ardd Community Garden, Growing Community through Growing

Location: Llandysul, Ceredigion

Hours: 35 hrs per week

Salary:  £26,000 per annum

Contract: 3 years fixed term

 

Yr Ardd C.I.C is a community growing project in West Wales with the drive and ambition to develop as a venue for training and skills development, social prescribing and multiple opportunities for community benefit. We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to help us to develop and move our project forward

Principle aims of Yr Ardd are as follows:

  • To promote volunteering and employment opportunities for members of the community, and to develop their skills and self-confidence.
  • To create opportunities for training and learning, to increase employability and for general interest.
  • To provide a good quality, affordable local food supply for local people.
  • To promote and protect the Welsh language around land and nature-based activity through its active use.

 

This is a new post funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and is a great opportunity for the right person to work on this new and exciting project.

 

Key roles of post holder:

  • To develop relationships with volunteers and future partners.
  • Networking, communicating and marketing with community groups and organisations
  • Scheduling and developing activities on site and with other community facilities and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and measuring outcomes - reporting to directors and funders.
  • Research and develop new funding and income streams
