Andrew Burgess, Director & owner of Produce World & Founder of RB Organic
Andrew was born and raised in vegetable farming and is a strategic agronomist by profession. He studied at Shuttleworth Agricultural College and has since done every role you can think of in Fresh Produce. He is a big fan of environmental farming, especially organic and is currently a Trustee of the Soil Association and Chair of NFU Organic Forum. He has previously served full terms on the NFU Horticulture Board, LEAF board, AHDB and British Carrot Growers. Married with 3 grown up daughters & 2 Grandchildren. He has just retired from playing Rugby for Peterborough and loves all outdoor pursuits, particularly skiing & climbing mountains.

Adam Dixon, Co-founder, Phytoponics
Adam Dixon founded the AgTech startup Phytoponics in Wales after studying engineering at Cardiff University, to commercialise a novel deep water culture hydroponic system for protected horticulture. Since founding the company in 2016, he has raised over £1m in investment to develop and commercialise the technology, and Phytoponics now has pilot projects with major growers and fresh produce sector partners, even as far away as Saudi Arabia. At 28 years of age, he has also been awarded United Nations Young Champion of the Earth status for Europe, and has a strong interest in commercially driven sustainable innovation, building change that lasts.

Neil Alcock, Director, Seiont Nurseries
Neil Alcock is the managing director at Seiont Nurseries, where he has worked for the last 33 years. He has been responsible for many new introductions to the UK and European markets. Including his own breeding work in Phormiums. The Varieties Black Velvet and Back In Black are two such successes. Cordyline Pink Passion is his biggest success and is now marketed globally.

Iain Cox, Director of Sustainable Business, Ecostudio
Iain’s experience is in helping organisations to put sustainability into practice. He set up Ecostudio, in 2008, and over the years he has designed programmes, advised policy makers and delivered projects that help businesses create responsible brands, products, packaging and services that are low in environmental impact and high in social value. He currently works mainly with land based organisations across horticulture and food supply chains in Wales and beyond. In 2016 he won a national ‘Sustainability Champion’ award for his pioneering work and leadership in the sector.
