162 million additional portions of vegetables served as part of the Peas Please initiative

Peas Please started work in 2016 with a clear mission: to make it easier for everyone in the UK to eat more veg. Since the launch of Peas Please in 2017 they have successfully built momentum and engagement with the programme, establishing Peas Please as a model for multi-stakeholder food system initiatives.

The third Peas Please Progress Report has been published, showing that UK food businesses have served 162 million additional portions of vegetables over the past three years as part of the Peas Please initiative. With Covid-19 continuing to impact on the UK food system, this report also looks at what needs to change to make it easier for everyone to eat more veg.

Having made the veg pledge in 2017, Tyfu Cymru has been pleased to support this programme, see page 35 of the report to read a case study on our progress.
