This group was established by Lantra Tyfu Cymru in 2021 and brings together key stakeholders (including Welsh Government) with the aim of supporting Welsh Government’s ambition to boost horticulture production as we emerge from the pandemic and transition to a low-carbon economy. The group comprises members from WG Food Policy,WG Agriculture, WG Food Division Social Farms and Gardens, Tyfu Cymru, Farming Connect, National Botanic Garden of Wales, Horticulture Wales, Food Foundation, Landworkers’ Alliance, ADAS, Cardiff University, Aberystwyth University, Food Sense Wales and Grower representatives. The Group’s role is to help define a vision and strategy for the sector, building on the 2020 Commercial Action Plan, and help co-ordinate the work undertaken to grow the sector and raise its profile.
