Soil physics, chemistry and biology are interlinked and their interactions with plant roots determine whether the growing environment can match its potential to deliver high quality produce.Good soil husbandry considers all these links together (now popularly called soil health) and an increasing diversity of biological management approaches are now available in the marketplace.Growers need to increase their understanding of their soils so they can select the practices that are most likely to benefit their bottom line.

Elizabeth Stockdale currently leads the Soil Biology and Soil Health Partnership funded by AHDB and BBRO. In this seminar she will draw on the findings from a range of sectors to draw out key principles for flower growers; and also share some of the specific findings from on-going experiments with flower growers.

This webinar is aimed at established growers, or new growers in the advanced planning stage who are part of, or would like to join the Tyfu Cymru Flower Network.
