Irrigation Training Day at Bellis Brothers

Bellis Brothers are a Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Pick Your Own based in Holt, Wrexham.

We will be joined by irrigation consultant Ryan Hampson of Irrismart and Chris Creed of ADAS, who will take you through the basics involved when planning an irrigation system, using Bellis’ irrigation system as an example.

Topics covered will include:

• The different methods of irrigation and how they are commonly applied, we will look at Bellis’ substrate drip system and will also look at driplines, micro sprinklers, field sprinklers etc.
• The importance of water quality, treatment and filtration in an irrigation system and the different considerations with differing water sources.
• Water storage
• Automation – the different levels depending on application, budget, and requirements. We will look at complete automation of irrigation, monitoring fertigation, control and management using the new pump house for Bellis’ PYO strawberries and raspberries.
• General Site Tour
